호르너 증후군 (안 교감신경 부전마비), Horner syndrome

자율 신경계는 교감 신경계와 부교감 신경계로 분류된다.
호르노 증후군은 안(눈) 교감신경 장애로 생기는 증후군이다.
얼굴에 분포된 교감신경은 눈꺼풀을 올리는 기능, 얼굴에서 땀나게 하는 기능, 홍채를 수축시켜 동공을 확대하는 기능 등이 있다.
교감신경은 원래 대뇌 시상하부에서 기시되고 척수를 따라 두개골 밖으로 나온 후 신체 각부분에도 분포된다.
교감신경의 주행 중 어느 부분에 이상이 생기면 이상 부분 이하 교감신경이 분포된 신체부위에 교감신경 이상이 생길 수 있다.
예를 들면, 만일 어떤 병변이 얼굴과 눈(안)에 분포되는 얼굴, 안 교감 신경의 주행에 생기면 그쪽에 있는 동공이 작아지고 안검이 조금 처지고 그쪽 얼굴 땀이 적게 나고 안구 함몰, 안압 감소, 홍채 이색증 등의 증상 징후가 생길 수 있다.
얼굴 분포되는 있는 교감신경은 대뇌의 시상하부에서 기시된다. 시상하부에서 얼굴까지 분포되는 있는 교감신경의 주행 중 어느 부분에 이상이 생기면 호르너 증후군이 생길 수 있다.
분만 중 태어나는 아기에게 생긴 외상, 생 후 심장 수술 치료 후, 종양, 척추손상, 중뇌, 뇌간, 상부 척수, 경부, 안와 등에 어떤 이상이 있을 때 호르너 증후군이 생길 수도 있다.
병력, 증상 징후, 검진, 뇌 MRI 검사와 척추 MRI 검사, 가슴 X선 사진 검사, 소변과 피검사 등으로 진단한다.
원인에 따라 치료한다.

Horner syndrome

• The autonomic nervous system is divided into the sympathetic nervous system and the parasympathetic nervous system.

• Horno’s syndrome is a syndrome caused by ocular (eye) sympathetic nerve disorder.

• Sympathetic nerves distributed on the face have the function of raising the eyelids, making the face sweat, and expanding the pupil by constricting the iris.

• Sympathetic nerve originates from the hypothalamus of the brain and is distributed to each part of the body after it comes out of the skull along the spinal cord.

• If there is an abnormality in any part of the sympathetic nerve during driving, the sympathetic nerve abnormality may occur in the body part where the sympathetic nerve is distributed.

• For example, if a certain lesion occurs in the face and eye sympathetic nerves distributed in the face and eyes (inside), the pupil on that side becomes smaller, the eyelid sags slightly, the face sweats less, the eyeball retracts, and the intraocular pressure decreases , iris heterochromia, etc. may develop.

• Sympathetic nerves distributed in the face originate from the hypothalamus of the cerebrum. Horner syndrome can occur if any part of the sympathetic nerve distributed from the hypothalamus to the face is abnormal.

• Horner’s syndrome can occur when a baby is born during labor, after heart surgery, tumors, spinal injuries, midbrain, brainstem, upper spinal cord, neck, or orbit, and other abnormalities.

• Diagnosis is based on medical history, symptomatic signs, physical examination, brain MRI and spine MRI, chest X-ray, urine and blood tests, etc.

• Treat according to the cause.
